Gersthofen, December 10th, 2019.
iconic skin, manufacturer of elements for glass façades, has redesigned its showroom in Gersthofen. In addition to various storey-high versions of the ISOshade® façade element, the iconic skin lab. is also presenting GSP® in various versions, including 7-metres high dark blue GSP® walls with integrated LED technology, on an area of approx. 130 square metres. The showroom also features an ISOshade® all-glass corner with integrated monitoring software. Various samples also show details and connection options for window and door systems. Equipped with meeting areas, the showroom offers space for customer talks, product training and lectures.
"We would like to invite architects and planners to visit our showroom. The impressions gained here cannot be achieved by presentations and brochures alone. In our showroom we do not only show the design variety of ISOshade® and GSP®, but also demonstrate our competence in the field of building glass façades with building elements", says Heiko Mertel, Managing Director at iconic skin. "In the new showroom, digitalisation in the construction industry can also be experienced. With AR glasses, we will show visitors how tomorrow's façade monitoring can look like.”
Exhibition space for ISOshade® and GSP®
ISOshade® is exhibited in the iconic skin lab. in two variants. One element with integrated vertical blind and one with vertical awning. The highlight is the ISOshade® all-glass corner, which is not only an aesthetic façade solution, but is also equipped with modern sensor technology. A live demo enables visitors to experience façade monitoring. The intelligence of ISOshade® lies in the sealed cavity, which regulates climatic loads by means of a special pressure compensation system. The sensor technology measures temperature, pressure and humidity in the space between the panes and shows the maintenance scenario in the showroom as an example. ISOshade® can prove its high performance as a new, pressure-relieved, multi-layered façade element.
In the showroom, various GSP® exhibits demonstrate the variance of glass sandwich façades, including a 3.7 m high GSP® element with a homogeneous appearance, simple window integration and an external vertical blind concealed by a projecting glass pane. Furthermore, exhibits show different installation directions and insulation cores, including GSP® MW with mineral wool. With its classification A2-s1, d0 it is suitable for buildings with the highest fire protection requirements, such as hospitals, hotels, schools, kindergartens and airports.
